Role Profile

The Successful applicant for this role will have be required to manage designated projects from inception to full completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, to budget and to specification. Responsibilities within this position will include: managing projects within a Quality Control System; the preparation and submission of monthly reports; the daily management of sub-contractors; daily management of commissioning engineers; close liaison with clients (including issuing of progress reports); preparation and submission of risk assessments; overseeing all aspects of project management, from sales handover through to design, install and commissioning and liaising with the Operations Manager to produce monthly cost and project reports.

Key Skills - Essential

  • Qualified with a HNC/ONC or equivalent in electrical engineering
  • Qualified in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering (HNC/ONC or Equivalent
  • Exceptional working knowledge of building services and building management systems
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft office products (including Excel, Word, Project, Powerpoint and Outlook)
  • CSCS Card holder
  • First Aid Qualified
  • SMSTS/IOSHH or equivalent
  • Contractual Awareness Course
  • Full UK Driver's licence
  • Experience within Building Services
  • Experience working with Building Automation / BMS
  • Experience working on JCT and/or NEC form of contract
  • Experience working with ISO 9001 Quality Control System
  • Experience working within an ISO 14001 Quality Control System

Key Skills - Desirable

  • Experience on other BMS platforms including (but not limited to) Tridium and Cylon systems.

Project EngineerMore Details

Role Profile

As a project engineer you will be involved on all sides of each project from the initial sales stage, design and project management through to completion. You will be responsible for a small team of engineers likely to include, 1-2 Commissioning Engineers and some Install Electricians. Experience and training with Centraline and Schneider Control Systems is essential and knowledge of Tridium and other control systems will be beneficial. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer to make a real impact in a recently formed, but already successful department. Applications are welcomed from experienced BMS Project Engineers or accomplished Commissioning Engineers who are looking to take the next step in their career.

This is a mobile role and a willingness to travel nationally (and on occasion, internationally) is essential. This role will involve mentoring and supporting apprentices/junior engineers so exceptional technical and safety knowledge is required.

  • Understanding of building management systems, building automation and building control principles
  • Knowledge of electrical installation - particularly in the building controls and wider building services field
  • CSCS/JIB registered

  • Knowledge and training in Honeywell (Centraline, Hawk, Jace etc) or Tridium (Niagara) building management systems would be particularly advantageous - though comprehensive, industry specific training and progression programme is available for engineers with suitable experience/training in other Building Control Systems

Trainee Commissioning EngineerMore Details

Role Profile

The successful applicant for this role will come from an electrical background with experience of onsite electrical maintenance of Building Services systems. Basic knowledge of BMS or HVAC principles (possibly some experience in the electrical install or even pre-commissioning of these systems) would be advantageous. On offer is the opportunity to train and specialise in an “in-demand” electrical engineering sector, with industry recognised BMS software and engineering qualifications. This is a mobile role and a willingness to travel nationally (and on occasion, internationally) is essential.
